Happy New Year Everyone! I hope that you are off to a great 2010 start. I'm doing good... getting used to this motherhood thing. Kyla will be 2 months old next week and she's becoming quite the chubster. She's got these cute lytle chicken thighs that I just want to bite every time I change a diaper. She's started responding to play time with Mommy and Daddy too. Can't wait to scrapbook these moments...
Speaking of which, I've started to scrapbook again... YAY! I've been itching to get back into my scraproom to play especially since I've started seeing all the new sneak peeks for CHA. I can't wait to get my lytle hands on some new 7 Gypsies hardware and those Printer's Trays... and then there's all of Tim Holtz's new releases from Stamper's Anonymous and Ranger and did you hear about his new Sizzix stuff... YUM! So what have you seen recently that just absolutely inspires you to scrapbook? Or is there something new that you've gotten a chance to preview that you just can't wait to get your hands on? Leave a comment on the blog (not via email) and you could win a prize. The winner will be chosen on Kyla's 2-month birthday, January 17th... oh let's do 2 winners!
So many of you have asked if I will still be hosting a Lytle Scrapper Retreat this year (with having a baby and all) and the answer is YOU BET I AM! It won't be in time for our anniversary like it was last year but it will be in the summer sometime. I'm still finalizing the details and the location and will have some info posted in the next week or so... plenty of time to make payments =D. So stay tuned for that.
I also want to take a moment to THANK ALL OF YOU for your all your support in 2009. Wishing you all a happy and prosperous 2010 filled with many memories to scrapbook and the time to actually scrap them! Hope to see you in class soon!

Ly,
What a beautiful picture! I can't wait to see your scrapbook of her. Not to mention actually seeing her in person.
As for my inspiration for scrapping this year. I have to say that the new Zutter hand held electronic distresser is going to be my first major purchase of the year. I LOVE the distressed look but it can be such an exhausting and time consuming endeavor. I am really hoping this speeds it up and reduces the amount of physical effort.
*raises hand "My name is Joy and I am a lazy scrapper"
They are also coming out with a new cutting tool that will cut straight through cardboard in one cut. Apparently it will even go through their new corrugated cardboard covers that they are putting out. That might have to be my second purchase.
Hope everyone has a great year full of lots of pictures and plenty of time to scrap them.

Of course you know that I can't wait to get my hands on everything Tim - yes I just got a Big Shot for all those new Sizzix dies that are coming out. I love the Graphic 45 preview too. See you soon.

Kyla is a cutie! Thanks for sharing your picture. Looking forward to seeing more of her...and you too.
I really like the 7 Gypsies Avignon paper line, and the paper clip dangles...too cute. The new binding rings are different and will add a bit of sparkle to those ordinary rings. I also like Basic Grey's Origins papers. They are very earthy. The Sugar Rush is yummy. Can't wait to see what you come up with for 2010. Best wishes. Carol

The siloutte seems a little intimidating, so I'm really looking forward to Tim's Sizzix Dies (I'll need to dust off my Big Shot :-)
