As a Copic Certified Designer, I will be presenting a lecture and hands-on demonstration of everything you ever wanted to know about Copic Markers and more. You will get a chance to touch, feel, test, and play with the Copic Marker System and decide for yourself before you buy. We will not be making any completed projects in this introductory class. If there is enough interest, we would like to introduce a monthly Copic Marker Club and/or a series of Copic Marker Techniques classes where we would complete projects using the Copic Marker System.
Here's a list of just some of the topics/questions that will be covered in the Intro to Copic Markers class:
What's the difference between the different markers and their features?
What is the best type of paper and ink to use with Copic Markers?
Techniques for Coloring, Stamping, and Airbrushing with Copics
What is the difference between the different airbrush systems?
What do the numbers on the markers mean?
How do I know which colors to choose?
How should I buy/collect Copic Markers?
Everyone will receive a class information packet with all the topics and answers covered throughout the class. You may want to bring a pen to take additional notes. If you already own a few Copics and wish to bring them to class to play with, you may do so but be sure to label them. As usual, there will be yummy treats and fun goodies to win.
Here are some stamps that I colored using Copics... excuse the scan and random stray doodling...
As you can see, Copic Markers offers smooth coloring and blending. I also colored my clear bling with my Copics and played with brush lettering and airbrushing. Here are a couple more examples of airburshing with Copics and Stampscapes... again excuse the scan... a better example of this technique to come in a later posting...
If you are interested in taking this class or seeing other Copic Marker classes in the future, call the Scrapbook Garden at (714) 841-1801 to reserve your spot and let us know what you think about Copic Markers. Hope to see you there!

YAY! I've always wanted to take a COPIC class and now one of my favorite crafty friends will be teaching it - thanks LY!
