Loving It...

the new job that is! Ok, I know I promised some sneak peeks a few days ago but I have just hit the ground running and adjusting to my new schedule along with my new job. It has only been three days and it is so exciting. I am still getting my feet wet and learning as much as I can. The commute is better than my last job even though it is twice as far (20 miles). And my new/old boss (I worked with him at my previous job) is fabulous... on my first day he said, "You will get your life back working here and you will enjoy it." And enjoying it I am!

I have had extra time this week to design more projects for the Retreat... speaking of which, we are SOLD OUT! and we have a waitlist going. A big THANK YOU to all of you who signed up and inquired about the Retreat. If all goes well, we may have another soon! For those of you who have been confirmed for the Retreat, you will be receiving an email from me in the next day or so with further details, directions, what to bring, what not to bring, etc... so be on the look out for that.

CHA is coming up this weekend and I am so excited to say that by Saturday evening, I will be a Certified Copic Marker Instructor! This coloring technique has become very popular in the stamping industry. You can check out the Copic Marker website HERE to see samples of what other certified instructors have done... and after Saturday you can find me on that website as well. Hmmm, do I smell a Copic Marker Demo and Make and Take for the Retreat???

My Sabbatical...

... as my friend Patty has called it. Monday was my last day at Prescription Solutions and it was bittersweet. I walked in to the office to find my cubical completely canopied in streamers and balloons. They closed off the entrance to my cubical so I had to crawl in and out of my desk all day. I also received an invitation to my farewell luncheon... it was all very nice. I will start my new job at US Bioservices on Monday... YAY!

So these last four days off have flown by so fast! I have been busily working on projects for the Weekend Retreat as well as some upcoming classes. I also received the tote bags that each Lytle Scrapper is going to receive at the retreat today and they are sooo stinking cute! The tote bag will be filled with tons of goodies from CHA and generous vendors such as Kaiser Craft. It is going to be so much fun! I can't wait! Anniversary Weekend Retreat

I'm back with another exciting announcement... Lytle Scrapper is celebrating our 1 year anniversary with a scrapbooking weekend retreat! This 3-day and 2-night retreat will be held in a spacious 6 bedroom, 3 bath cabin in Running Springs, CA.

Here is the run-down of what you will get...

CABIN - Check-in is at 10 AM on Friday, February 6th and check-out is at 5 PM on Sunday, February 8th.  That's 55 hours of cropping, make and takes, classes, and FUN! All your meals, snacks, and drinks for all 3 days, the clean-up fee, and gratuity are all included.

LYTLE STUFF - The use of all tools in the crop area, including a computer, printer, Cricut Station, Sizzix Diecut Station and much more, are all included. In addition, we have daily make and takes (total of 3), exclusive classes not taught any where else, goodie bags, raffles and prizes, and that's just the beginning... you all know how I like to spoil you with surprises! There is even a scrapbook store on the premises in case you run out of cardstock or adhesive!

INFORMATION & POLICIES - So do you want to join in on the fun? There are only 11 spaces available and the cost for the entire weekend $250 per person. It is going to be such a blast... packed with lots of yummy goodies and fun surprises... the Lytle Scrapper way! Just $150 due at the time of registration holds your spot and the remaining balance of $100 is due 2 weeks before the event. Save $10 if you pay in full at the time of registration. Registration is on a first come first served basis, based on receipt of payment. Once you have registered, additional information and directions to the retreat will be emailed to you. If you need to cancel for any reason, please be advised that a refund cannot be given unless a replacement is found for you, either by you or me. New Year... New Adventures

Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that you are off to a great start for the new year. I have some exciting news and events to share for 2009. So stay tuned over the next few days to see what's in store.

First things first. As some of you may know, I have been putting in extremely long hours at work... we're talking 50-60 hour work weeks... and I'm in a salaried position... yuck! Hence, no blog post since 11/17 and no Lytle Scrapper projects since the Christmas Countdown Tree. Sooo, here is my exciting news for today... I have composed a song for the occasion... think Buckwheat from Little Rascals with his two pickles... DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

I've got a new job, I've got a new job, I've got a new job, today, hey, hey!

I will be working at a closed door pharmacy in Anaheim Hills where I will get to apply my clinical knowledge working with specialty medications to help cancer patients. The best part is that it is a M-F 8-5 job! Do you know what that means? More time for Lytle Scrapper and more time for new classes! YAY! I am so excited!
