Work was a bit crazy last week, so I was excited when Friday finally came. I spent Friday evening cropping at SBG, where I participated in a card swap and finally got around to designing my make-n-take for the anniversary event. It was definitely a fun and productive crop for me.
I got home and was so wound up about making sure I had everything packed for the make-n-takes that I didn't go to bed until 3:30 am...got up at 7:30 and headed over to SBG. With the help of some excellent volunteers, we built a balloon arch...everything was moving along great and then one of the balloons deflated...no worries... I have a solution! So as I am attempting to put my solution into action, the arch separated into two big pieces! Yikes! That has not happened to me before! Luckily, after about another 15 minutes of patching and many hands to help me hold it in place, our surgery was a success.
As we were building the arch, Alice was telling us that she had a dream where she forgot some supplies for her make-n-take and was trying to get home to get them, but different things kept happening in her dream to prevent her from doing so...anywho, I suddenly realized that I FORGOT MY SAMPLES for the make-n-take at home! And here we are... the arch ran over the opening time of the store and I don't have any samples for my make-n-take! So, I sat down with my first set of make-n-takers (Thank you for being so patient and understanding, ladies!) and made one along with them and it all was right in the world of samples again. YAY!
Make-n-takes as a whole went well for all of us (Alice, Nicole, and myself). We were quite busy at times. THANK YOU to all of you who stopped by to sit down to do a make-n-take with me. Some people have already emailed me and said they were not able to make one. Well, fear not, my friends! I will be posting step-by-step instructions on how to make the tag in the next couple of days, so you can try it out for yourself... and those of you who did get a chance to make one, can have a refresher on it. My hub, Tuan, has been out of town since last Wednesday backpacking in Yosemite (which worked out great since I was tied up all weekend) and will be back later tonight. So, I am waiting for him to photograph me going through the steps.
Sunday morning, Wanda and I headed to the rubber stamp show and spent a few hours there before heading over to SBG for more jammed packed festivities with fun games and more make-n-takes. Needless to say, although tons of fun, I was one tired LYTLE girl! Click on the SBG Events Album to the right to see pictures of the Anniversary Weekend... you might find a picture of you there!

It was definately a rocky start...but all's well that ends well! It was a fun day, an even funner dinner, and I'm so glad it turned out to be a success for everyone involved!
