Mother's Day Canvas Class on April 26th

Do you need something special for mom for Mother's Day? Is she like my mom, when it comes to gifts... simply buying her something just won't do? Well come on in and MAKE her something she will CHERISH! Join me on Saturday, April 26th from 1:30 - 4:30 PM at The Scrapbook Garden for this 12x12 Mother's Day Canvas.

We will be using the NEW Basic Grey Sultry line of papers, NEW Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger Industries, and NEW ribbon and layering flowers from Creative Impressions... all fabulous products! Due to the nature of painting on canvas, the class will require a little bit of homework {otherwise, we will be spending most of our day watching the paint crackle ;) }. You will need to paint the canvas at home by following the instructions provided in your homework kit. Homework kits will be available for pick up beginning Friday, April 18th.

3L Photo Tape or other high tack adhesive (required for canvas adhesion)
Glue Dots
Foam Dots/Tape
Your favorite adhesive
Brown Ink Pad

Is it Tuesday already?!

My goodness...time just flew by me this week! I'm still trying to get over this weekend! THANK YOU so much to all the wonderful ladies that came out for my Cosmo Cricket II class last Saturday...

We had a fabulous time... boo-boo's and all! A quick shout out to two of my friends that I had not seen in ages who surprised me by signing up for my class...AILEEN and GAYLE...hi, girls! It was nice to see old friends, new faces and many returning regulars... RENEE, VIRGINIA, CAROL, SU, and SUE. You girls were absolutely wonderful! Thank you for making my Saturday morning such a pleasant one!

The rest of my weekend was spent going to Disney's California Adventure's Food and Wine Festival {really fun event... highly recommended if you live in the So Cal area, click here to learn more} with my hubby to meet CAT CORA, the only female Iron Chef from the Food Network and silly me, I forgot the camera... what a horrible scrapbooker I was!

Then it was off to Melissa's for a pre-Wicked {we're going to see the show next weekend} party where we watched the Wizard of Oz. Until Sunday, I had never watched the whole movie from beginning to end. {insert GASP! here} I have always caught bits and pieces of it on TV. This Sunday will be my third time going to see Wicked and after watching the Wizard of Oz, it all makes a lot of sense. We also made Wicked t-shirts with the Me and My Big Ideas iron-on rhinestones...

AND I managed to find some time to finish my Mother's Day Canvas! All in all, a pretty productive weekend.

Mother's Day Canvas

Many of you have asked, "do you have anything planned for Mother's Day?" The answer is YES! I am currently working on a 12x12 Mother's Day Canvas using the NEW Basic Grey Sultry line and the NEW Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger. We are still finalizing the details of the class and the information will be posted in the next couple of days. We are aiming for Saturday, April 26th at The Scrapbook Garden.

Updates...

Hello there... it has been crazy around here lately! Work {my full-time job} has been insane... I was sent to Carlsbad earlier this week and have been playing catch up ever since. So on to the LYTLE updates!

The winner of the class drawing is RENEE EDINGTON! Yay, Renee! You have won 2 Lytle Scrapper Class Kits as well as some extra goodies from CHA! I will drop off your prize pack at SBG later today.

Speaking of Lytle Scrapper Classes... THANK YOU to all the wonderful women who came to the Cosmo Cricket I class last Saturday. We had a great time making our layouts and cards. This group was a really creative bunch! Some of them converted their 8x8 pages into 8.5x11 and 12x12 pages. Everyone's project looked awesome and was different... I love classes like this! Oh... and the best part of the day...chocolate covered strawberries..YUM!

For those of you who missed out on the first Cosmo Cricket class, there are ONLY A FEW SEATS left for this Saturday's Cosmo Cricket II class. This class is a 12x12 layout with a mini album AND you will leave with lots of leftover goodies to make another project. Cosmo Cricket Class II

This is a 2-page 12x12 layout with a mini album that will be attached to the layout itself. This is the second in the series of Cosmo Cricket Classes offered this month at The Scrapbook Garden on Saturday, April 12th, from 10am to 1pm.

In this class, you will learn innovative ways to take a prepared class kit and make good use of the materials included in your kit, just as I've done here with this mini album:

And look at all the extra goodies we won't be using in class that you get to take home to use on another project...

Both classes will be loaded with lots of extra embellishments {the Lytle Scrapper way} that is not included in the original prepared kit.
